What You'll Do
Work Directly with Learners
Work directly with children in schools and other educational settings while implementing behavior-analytic instructional procedures and collecting data.
Design and Conduct Research
Participate in every stage of the research process—from developing research questions and designing experiments to collecting data, analyzing results, and sharing discoveries.
Learn Research Methods
Gain hands-on experience with single-case experimental designs, stimulus control assessments, eye-tracking technology, and instructional technologies used to study learning.
Present and Publish
Contribute to conference presentations and scholarly publications while learning how research is communicated to professional audiences.
Collaborate
Work alongside faculty, fellow students, and community organizations in a supportive research environment where ideas are shared, questions are encouraged, and everyone contributes to the success of the lab.
Grow Professionally
Develop skills that prepare you for graduate school, clinical practice, research careers, and academic positions while receiving individualized mentorship.
Opportunities
Graduate Students
Graduate students become active collaborators in the STAR Lab and participate in every aspect of the research program. Students will receive hands-on mentorship from Dr. Lewis while developing expertise in behavior analysis, experimental design, scientific writing, and dissemination of research.
